SWEET WiNTER SHADES

Mar Vista, CA

With a new season comes new winter color trends to consider for your wardrobe. And with so many colors currently on the rise, I find myself wondering which shades to shell out for.

From magentas to powdery blues and bold reds, I am loving all the latest trends. However, the pale pink has always been a winter color staple for me and continue to bring it out year after year. Paired with neutral tans and camel colors, you simply can't go wrong.

Today, I am wearing this flutter sleeve top from Ann Taylor Factory with a striped hair scarf and rose gold shoes. It's a flirty combo that works well from brunch to the office! What are some of your favorite shades this season?

The Button-Down

Venice, CA

IMG_8688.jpg

It's hard to go wrong with a good button-down. But that doesn't mean that I'm not always looking for new ways to spice it up. For fall, I love pairing a chambray version with a denim skirt or skinnies. I also think it's fun to rock a button-down under a floaty dress or jumpsuit. What are your favorite ways to wear it?

The one I am wearing here is by GANT and it's truly great for any season. Movable, breathable and never uncomfy, I wore it to see friends yesterday for dinner in Venice but it would also be great for the cooler months ahead. I love nothing more than a wardrobe staple that never goes out of style! Take 20% off when you shop at GANT by using the code: WEARSKELLY20

BETTER BASICS

Venice, CA

Looking to upgrade your go-to pieces? Same here. With each new season, I feel the need to declutter my closet and also refresh my everyday essentials. I'm talking cozy cardigans for winter, perfect sandals for summer—the things that will always remain in style no matter what new trends are being talked about.

For the warmer spring days, I've been switching out my sweaters for cute short-sleeved tees like this one and the one I am wearing here. Both are stylish enough to wear with a blazer or skirt, yet casual enough to pair with shorts. As for my jeans, I am swapping out my dark denim for lighter shades. This cropped pair from AG puts a new spin on white skinnies. From the flattering high-waistline to the edgy ankle cut, I love everything about them.  (Be prepared to see more of them in the future!)

In addition to those, I've found the comfiest pair of platform sandals around. Designed to make style feel good, I would seriously have worn these to Coachella (where we walked 10+ miles a day) if they came in time! Made by SAS Shoes, they are solid, comfy shoes with molded soles that contain millions of tiny air bubbles to provide shock absorption and extra support—talk about orthopedic chic! Check out more of their styles here.
